I'm Sou, a Paris photographer and videographer.
What I like most isn't simply taking pictures in a beautiful city, it's turning a real moment in Paris into something you can feel again later, whether that's a quiet walk, a proposal, an elopement, or a night session by the river. I've been doing this since 2013, and Paris still keeps surprising me.
Why Paris
Paris does most of the work. The light shifts constantly through the day, every street has its own character, and the city changes completely between morning, golden hour, and night. After more than a decade shooting here, I've learned to read all of it: where the light falls best at a given hour, which corners stay quiet even when the main spots are packed, how the city looks completely different in the rain than under a clear sky. I've never felt like I needed a studio. Paris gives me a different set every hundred meters.
My approach
I usually give enough direction to help people feel comfortable. I'll guide you when it helps, where to stand, how to move, what to do with your hands, when to look at each other, when to forget I'm there. Then I step back and let the moment breathe. That balance between direction and spontaneity is usually where the best images live.
I've photographed hundreds of people in Paris, and I still enjoy that every session feels different. Different light, different weather, different personalities, different energy. That's the part that keeps me interested.
Photo and video, in the same session
One of the things that makes my work a little different is that I shoot both photography and videography in the same session. That means you do not need to book two separate people to get two different formats. You can leave with a gallery of still images to print and frame, and a film that moves, both made from the same time in Paris, with the same visual language.
My approach to video
I like video to feel like a film, not a recording. Paris is especially good at that: the architecture, the movement, the light, the sound of the city in the background. Before a video session, I usually ask what you want the final film to feel like, then I suggest locations and timing that will make sense for the story and the light.
That means thinking ahead about where the city will be quiet enough for movement, which places work better at sunrise or after dark, and how to build a session that actually feels beautiful on film. I know a number of quieter corners in Paris that many people never think to use, and I bring them in when they fit the project.

Couples
Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, working with me as a Paris proposal photographer for a surprise engagement, or just want photos from a trip together, I create images and films that feel like you, not staged, not stiff.
Elopements
As a Paris elopement photographer and videographer, I work with couples having an intimate ceremony in the city: vows, rings, sometimes a few guests, sometimes just the two of you. For video, I can record your vows with a dedicated microphone and weave that audio into the final film. On some elopements, I work alongside a photographer who handles the stills while I focus entirely on video, so nothing pulls focus from the moment itself.
Families
As a family photographer in Paris, I photograph and film families who want everyone in the frame, without the stress of a rigid studio setup. Kids, movement, and a little chaos included.
Solo travelers
Some people come to Paris for a fresh start. Others for a birthday, a reset, or simply because they wanted to do something for themselves while they were here. Whatever your reason, I like creating something that feels personal rather than touristy.
Night sessions
Night photography in Paris is one of my favorite things to shoot. It takes the right gear, but more importantly it takes a good sense of timing, light, and location. Wet streets, reflections, city lights, near-empty landmarks. Paris after dark has a completely different atmosphere, and that is exactly what makes it so special. It feels quieter, more cinematic, and often more personal than the day.
Pregnancy announcements
As a maternity photographer in Paris, I photograph and film couples announcing a pregnancy, whatever way you want to share the news: a quiet moment between the two of you, or something meant to be shared right away.
Who I'm probably not the right fit for
I work exclusively outdoors, in the streets and landmarks of Paris. If you're looking for a fully indoor studio session, corporate event coverage, party or event photography, or a newborn studio shoot, I'm probably not your best match. I'd rather say that upfront than waste your time.
If Paris is calling
If you're looking for someone to snap a few quick photos in front of a landmark, I'm probably not the right photographer for you. But if you want to leave Paris with the memory of a moment you actually lived, in photos, in film, or both, we'll probably get along well.
